Ms. West practices in the areas of business law, estate
planning and taxation, with an emphasis on limited liability
companies and commercial real estate transactions. Ms. West
has represented entities in connection with redemptions, acquisitions,
business restructuring and governance. She has experience
in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including
negotiating and drafting real estate purchase and sale contracts
and construction contracts, financing, closing on purchases
and sales and dispute resolution.
Ms. West served as a law clerk for the Circuit Court of the
City of Norfolk in 2002-2003, observing business and personal
disputes. Ms. West understands that clients are best served
with clear, concise, written agreements early in a transaction,
to avoid costly litigation.
Ms. West has written and lectured in the area of Limited Liability
Companies.
