As a partner in the firm, Ms. West practices in the
areas of business and commercial real estate law, estate planning
and administration, and taxation. Ms. West has represented
entities in connection with choosing an entity, formation,
redemptions, acquisitions, business restructuring and governance.
She has experience in all aspects of commercial real estate
transactions, including negotiating and drafting real estate
purchase and sale contracts, commercial leases and construction
contracts, financing, closing on purchases and sales and dispute
resolution. Ms. West also assists clients in estate planning
and administration of estates. Ms. West understands that clients
are best served with clear, concise, written agreements early
in a transaction, to avoid costly litigation.
Ms. West served as a judicial law clerk for Honorable John
C. Morrison, Jr. and Honorable Joseph A. Leafe of the Circuit
Court of the City of Norfolk in 2002-2003.
Ms. West has written and lectured in the area of Limited Liability
Companies.
