discuss the statutory changes from the 2011 session of the
Virginia General Assembly, provide an update of recent cases
from the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Virginia Workers’
Compensation Commission and address the status of the Commission’s

30th Annual Family Law Seminar: The Death of Marriage
This annual event has brought together family law attorneys
and judges from across the state for an indispensable educational

Richard E. Garriott will speak at the Virginia
District Court Judges Conference on Tuesday, August 9, 2011
on “Spare the Child,” a presentation on avoiding
the damaging impact on children in child custody disputes,
including mediation and collaborative law and the guardian
ad litem’s role in custody custody.
